August Meeting and QuiltCon Updates!

Hello!  Our August meeting is tomorrow, August 7, 2012 at 5:30!  The group continues to grow so fast, we now have twelve members and more coming!

If you have completed blocks for the QuiltCon Block Challenge, please bring them tomorrow!  I will be mailing them out no later than Friday.  The stamps are already on the box and it is ready to hit the road!  If you need more info on the block challenge, check here.  I have some fabric scraps in the appropriate colors that I can give out on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Several members of the group will be attending QuiltCon in Austin, Texas on February 21-24, 2013.  If you are planning on going, let us know so we can coordinate, if you like.  We will discuss group sponsorship tomorrow at the meeting.  There are also volunteer opportunities at the conference which are great for learning, networking and discounts.

I can’t wait to see everyone.  We really need to keep the meeting on track tomorrow to get through a lot of info.  We will only be doing show-and-tell for QuiltCon blocks.  If you made a block and don’t want to share, please bring it anyway and we will still mail it off for you!

 

 

July Meeting

Our July meeting will be this Tuesday, July 3, at 5:30.  We will keep the  schedule at the first Tuesday of the month and see how that works for everyone.  If you would like, bring something for show-and-tell.  It can be a UFO or a completed project.  Our group is growing quickly.  I can’t wait to see how many new faces we will have this time!

 Members of the Charleston and Raleigh Modern Quilt Guild have also stopped in to Tabby to say hi!  It is so exciting to meet new quilters!

Hello!

Beaufort now has its own chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild.  Our first meeting will be on June 7 at 5:30pm.  We will use this time to discuss officers, organization, and ideas.  If you have something for show-and-tell, bring it!  We will also have a stash swap, too!
